hello guys, we can book in at about 3pm on thur. i'll be meeting melie's bro to get it settled coz she can't be with us until day 2 bbq which is at night...maybe we wana meet at 12 to eat at white sands. then slowly make our way to the chalet..dun have to rush..then we can slaaaack until dinner time. so first day abit zo boh la actually..it's better to leave the methods of time-killing to you guys..

note: whatever below DOESN'T serve as a timetable of any sort, any suggestions to improve the ways things can be done will be welcome...

Thursday
3pm: book in!!!
6pm onwards: dinner and then slack again..can watch tv, play monopoly up to u guys..

Friday
1) clean up, wash up, go white sands to makan(i guess no one will wake up so early anyway..) .
2) at white sands: buy stuff for bbq at night(charcoal, food, firestarters what not), most prob wont cost more than 8 bucks per person...
3) back to chalet: preparations! melie will only reach at 8+, so maybe we can start setting the fire at 6-630 or sth..
4) zo boh again..we hafta book out on day three morning so enjoy while you can..

we will need ppl to bring ball, poker cards n board games..who can volunteer and get it settled asap? so that we won't go there and end up with the 'i thought others will bring' problem..thanks~

After spending an insane 2 hours contacting u ppl, its confirmed that our class chalet will be held at Costa Sands Resort(Pasir Ris) Duplex Chalet, from 14th December to 16th December! Melissa will get it booked tomorrow afternoon, so whoever is confirmed, please honor your word and remem to pay her!

Cost for the chalet: $16 to $17
Amount of money to bring: $50 bucks excluding chalet money. It should be enough for u guys to spend without worrying..we may have a bbq so u guys may wana bring about 10 bucks to pay for it too...
Things to bring:
1. Basic necessities/clothes, i dont think i have to brief about this..
2. soccer ball...bball..frisbee..any stuff that can be played, please try to bring also..same goes for board games..

hey everyone........

i hope all of you are enjoying ur summer hols (after one long year of university life). just feel to post this because i just came back from NJ Funtasia (it was actually last sat). being there actually brought back a lot of memories, sweet ones and not-so-sweet ones. i still remember how we went all out to sell our satays. This year one was somewhat fun, although I think ours was better because we have more variety. No satay stalls this time round.... From what i know, this time round, it was not compulsory for the year 2 classes to set up stalls.... so there are only limited no of stalls and they are confined to the canteen, linkway and oasis only... oh as well as the strecth of road leading to TC block... it was quite cramped and super hot!!!!

could not find mr lim... i dunnoe where on NJ is he hiding. saw mrs chiew many many many times. only because she kept coming back and buying Delifrance... and from what i know they didnt manage to dunk sharon phua also.. apparently she refused to be involved in the dunking business... heh.... i actually saw them (students) trying to persuade her to get dunked.... they offered her $2000 (worth of funtasia coupons) i think but she still refused. her reason: she didnt bring extra underwear for that day. (sorry.. a bit obscene..)

surprisngly, i saw quite a number of people from our year coming back to see how things was at nj. the new canteen extension is quite good but the painting job was quite horrible. they simply cannnot match colours... (muddy green and yellow put together.. yuckss..) just a quick update for those who havent been to nj for quite some times.

Hello everyone,

finally have some time to sit down and post an entry. 2005 has been a crazy year and I don't think 2006 is going to be any less taxing. But we will all be motivated and move along ya?

Anyway, one week of the new school year has just passed by and the amount of work to be done: astronomical! Mammoth, to say the least. Never believe anyone who tells you that in beginning of the year things are more relaxed, haha.

so, new year, new plans? I am trying to organise my life at the moment, doing a checklist of the major things waiting to be done this year. I'm teaching the IP1's again this year, together with a class of IP3 (i.e. JC1). Some IP2's were apparently upset that I am not teaching them, but I guess it always comes down to a matter of management allocation. Teaching two levels is definitely more than sufficient, imagine having to teach 3 levels, that would be tough.

Will be travelling to China twice this year for foreign scholars recruitment. Travelled 3 times last year, so thank goodness this year it's one trip less. The amount of preparation work is just crazy. for those who think it is a holiday for me, believe me it is not.

Oh yes, you are one of the first to know this: I am making plans to do my Masters. Sometime next year, hopefully. And on a postgrad scholarship, hopefully. My bond will end in Jul this year so that leaves me kind of "free" to decide on the next phase of my career. I will most likely remain in education, because I think that 's what I enjoy doing. I am quite interested in Mathematical testing and assessment, so I will probably further my career in that area.

For now, I just want to do my best for teaching in 2006!

Whatever the case is, I am really busy.Melissa also.We are waiting for someone to organise something. Heard someone would be organsing something at somewhere on someday. In the end, we got an invitation from Bavani on the 27th , i think.But, dont know whether confirm or not.Do you know the best part is that hasan was the one sending us the sms, saying that he has invited us to Bavi's hse! What's the whole point ah? sounds misleading. It's ok, hassan and Bavi, it may sound wierd but, both of us know your intentions. IT's also equally eccentric that melie and I organised the outing that time, and melie ended up not turning up.So cant laugh at you guys.
Hmm...got lots of projects and we just completed three tests. 3 major projects, one big attachment report, 5 more small attachment reports. and hmm, and some small projects coming along. then we are going on attachment on wed.This time, melie will either go to acute hospital or sub-acute community hospital.I will be going to community rehab. We are not divulging where we are going.
Hey, my face will appear on a video during NYP's open hse. Aiya, nothing great, they will cut here and there. All they want is my smile, few good words about NYP and really words that come from the bottom of my heart when it comes to OT.Yup, as usual, the energetic, try-to -be funny and a little eccentric me doing spontaneous stuff.they got me to post here and there, like a model...which i think, wrong choice! Cos, the rest are foreigners and they have flags, i dont get any..so, a little left out and empty
Then the interview.should be fine, cos, the producer said i do say something new...but i afraid they cut cut cut then in the end, people dont get the whole story i said.
To promote NYP :

hello!!!

it's been ages since i last posted anything! this blog has quieten down a little hasnt' it?seems like only melie, abi and mer read it! i still do check it once in a while! and yes, abi, i saw the tag. that's why i decided to post an entry.

Happy Deepavali and Hari Raya Puasa you guys! must be having heaps of fun during this festive season? long holidays yeah? well, there's no celebration over here for those two festivals, at most probably a very very small one within their own communities...it's not a huge thing at all.

However, we did have a different kind of celebration! Melbourne had a public holiday on the 1st of nov as well. It's called Melbourne Cup day. don't know if anyone of you have heard of it, and it is pretty interesting, (well, at least for us here it is), so i'll attempt to explain what it is. Melbourne Cup is a competition. Horse Racing competition. It's a VERY BIG EVENT here...commonly known as the spring races. It goes on for about a month, with many many different competions and different cups to be won, but the most prestigious and important one is of course the melbourne cup. the interesting thing about this is, people dress up to go to the races! it's very formal. the guys have to wear suits and all, and the ladies have to wear dresses, and head pieces. now now, i don't mean head pieces as in anyhow, anykind. they either wear hats or facinators..you know in england, the women usually wear such things? yeah...so the girls dress up and all try to outdo each other with their head piece. And these head pieces are not cheap at all... the average cost of a hat is about 200. i mean you can definitely get below 100 bucks..but that's really low quality. and tickets to the event isn't cheap as well. so basically, a well attended, high class, sporting event i would say. Everyone either goes to the races, or stays at home to watch it. the streets are deserted, nothing is open. What made this year's races more memorable was this particular horse named 'Makybe Diva', which had won the cup for the past 2 years. Everyone placed their bets on this horse...and it won!! so it created history and will probably be well known to all aussies for at least the next century. i hope to attend the races at least once while i'm here. have to wait for next year!

oh another interesting thing! daylight savings has kicked in! so i'm now 3 hours ahead of singapore time..used to be 2 hours. and the funny thing is that the sky is bright all the way until 8pm! haha...really weird! but it's good coz it makes the day even longer. and apparantly the sky remains bright until 9pm during summer!!

anyway, yup..just thought i'll share a little bout some aussie happenings! haha..sorry if i made you bored. time really flies..i've been here almost 4 months...and i'll be back in singaproe at the end of this month. my exams are in 4 days time! i think it's about the same time as those in ntu right? so all the best to whoever's having exams!!!

Hello,too much of a holiday.Cant sleep.so enjoyable.
Just have a sudden rush of thoughts.
Someone asked me what have i been doing during the holidays.Yes,fun,outings,tuition,"whacking" my brother,being "whacked" by my mom and volunteering with friends.It's good.Holidays are too good.

Recently, my friends and I volunteered as fasciltators or rather labourers for Children's Day in a Hospital.Melie was there too for a day to help out decorate two wards(so artistic).I just learnt how to wrap gifts and make paper lucky stars.haha...anyway, that's not the point.I am really disappointed by how some singaporeans/singapore organisations define GIVING.They can give things like Umbrella(bad omen for children in Oncology ward),Super old games that we have never seen before and turning yellow, small bags which were probably not sold.AND when i compared it with what the JAPANESE International Sch(It's just a sch based in singapore), I think they really gave from the bottom of their hearts. As volunteers who hoped to satisfy as many children, when we were made to give out gifts, we felt ashamed and tried to avoid giving those gifts. ooh...the smile on their faces really brighthens up your day.My friends played little bed side games while i was labouring with boxes and later joined in giving out gifts with animation and exaggeration.See, i have a talent to be a clown, which i think not very much appreciated in the working world...haahaa.i think this will be the only way to let loose after i leave sch.

ok, sorry for digression.BACK.This reminds me about the collection drive during the post Tsunami period. Enough of the affairs of the heart.Do you remember the case of Huang Na? sometimes, i cant help asking myself, why are we Giving so much to the deceased family?other than funeral costs ,other related expenses and a little extras.we will never know where our money is going to.Yes, I may sound skeptical here.In my opinion, practicality and effectiveness of our donations may be considered.I mean both the ugly and beautiful side of human nature.In the case of the Nepalese twins, Where has all the money gone to? I have nothing against donating to "celebrated" unfortunate people. I just hope that there will be a small,makeshift organisation(must be WITHOUT an office and can be dissolved easily) overseeing such cases.but then again, who can empower these people.

Deepavali, Hari Raya and Christmas are nearing.If you ever chanced upon the opportunity to give, You dont need to give expensive ones. OR come up with cliche ideas like "ITS the THOUGHT that counts". In my opinion, you can approach it either in terms of utilitarianism(ie, greater happiness for the greater number; includes both yourself and others) or perhaps just base it on its intrinsic nature(ie, what's really the thing they need at this moment).Haha, formed this philosophy of mine while learning healthcare ethics(nothing got to do with what we learn).However, i guess it will change as i grow.

Oh, Mr Lim, it's sternum.(quite close Mr Lim)In layman, It consists of three parts, connecting the ribs from both sides, forming the thoracic wall.ribs will articulate with the sternum via costal cartilages.A "punch" on the sternum causes stress to whatever found inside the thoracic cage.

Yes! Pls appreciate your armpits too...it consists of so many "things", connecting the body to the upper limb and it is very vulnerable.Never ever get yourselves involved in a fracture.The pain may go but the functions of the limbs will be affected in one way or another.Pls dont ever take your body for granted.Never assume that you are healthy. People often have the misconception that after recovering from certain serious illness or injuries, he is almost 100% Ok! Nope, recovery takes some time unlike the normal cough and flu.

Did some readings on art therapy.Another thing that will do good to your mental health is never to be so judgemental. be it to others or yourself.The right brain doesnt really judge things.It is the left brain that does all the logical thinking and "forces" you to convince yourself something that your emotions do not really feel. For eg,the left brain reminds you of all the norms in your culture and hinders your understanding of how you really feel by directing your ill feelings towards something else(like blamming yourself/saying things like"it is wrong to be angry as nice girls dont do that"). It is only your "heart"(a.k.a right brain) that can actually dig out the root of your negative feelings. So, why verbal counselling sessions may not work that well? that's becos, when one tries to express himself through words, he goes thru the logical left brain and picks "correct" words.It is scientifically proven that we often accept info around us thru images and so, scribbling "rubbish" on a blank piece may help one to discover oneself better.Haha...just sharing with you.Maybe you may not understand what i am talking about as i am not that good at explaining in words.I need to show you some actions.(me moving and swinging hands)

Anyway, i am a half-baked potato.Give me not 2.5 yrs more but 25 more yrs!!!HAHA....till then.

Some musings.

It has been a turbulent month. Lots of ups and dwns. Mostly downs. But the biggest up, at least, was meeting the class at the lantern festival.

One of my students nearly died recently. He was playing soccer when the ball was kicked to him and hit him at this sterum (dunno is this the spelling). He almost suffocated as he could not breathe. Some of his friends were around and they could only stare in shock..... Thank goodness one of them was trained in first aid and managed to put him in recovery position while the ambulance arrived. I wondered how I would have reacted if I were there.

Another student also broke his leg around the same time. Hobbling on crutches now.

A teacher sitting near me recently dislocated his shoulder real bad while teaching (yes teaching is a dangerous job) and I had to drive him to A and E.

I got into a car accident the day after our class gathering. But I'm ok.

I think Sentosa quite a mess now.Is there a one night chalent thing...on the weekend?I think it is a little too ambitious but a good effort if we try to relive the two days we ahd last yr.

By the way, when i hear my mom complaining, i feel blessed...it gives me the feeling that i am spending time with her leh...dont know why.Lying down and hugging her is a great feeling that i havent been doing for yrs... Making my father annoyed when i giggle at his nagging is also another blessing man....touching his balding head and making him afraid.And yes... jokes that run in the family.You know what kind of genre...leave it to your imagination.dont think too far.

Spend time with your family.Then you wont have regrets.you will feel better when you work,study or volunteer.

Lalala, i am slacking...this is the first school holidays that doesnt require u to do much, just minimal self revision.

So, i actually picked up self-water colour painting.Tuitioning..and of course helping my brother.Yes, i do help up with house work, but My mom is always complaining that i am not conscientious enough and alert. Forget things here and there.

Always doing things like calling ppl(to get their chest width for Clinical T-shirt, hee i
get to know everyone's...just joking), class voluntary work, outings and 03S10 gathering.talking about gathering. i think it is enjoyable.Hope that there will be an increase in participation if we pick a better time! So, lyn hopefully can join us when u r back.

Basically, my mom says " your heart is not at home! you are right that you dont intend to marry.Your husband will suffer!and of course, if u invite ur BF for dinner, dont expect me to do it for u!!!"Blah Blah, as i wash something. this is all becos, i forgot to switch off the fishtank lights and washed all the dishes except the rice pot hidden in the rice cooker.these kind of mistakes.repeating them again and again.hmm...reminds me of how i did my qns during academic sch days.

Well well, i dont mind being stuck at the stagnation stage(Erikson's eight stages of psychosocial development inpsychology).Stagnation vs generativity.It is a kind of crisis that one has to go thru in order to move on to the last stage of psychosocial development.It involves passin down to the next generation.Ok...in layman, having a family and kids.

Anyway, yup.I am doing things to keep myself occupied! Part of Occupation! I can see that this course is changing a little part of my life slowly....when would i ever take up painting! And i think i am becoming a "slower" person rather than a super fast-paced person.My mom is complaining that i am a little slower...Argh....

And to Cynthia and MR Lim, i am trying to avoid talking about cadavars(dead Bodies).So, sharing a little knowledge from psychology.

Here is a plan:I am sory to say, but the truth is the old folks at Ju eng( somewhere between sengkang and Yiochukang) are like waiting for time to pass so that they can pack up one day.They feedback that nothing nice on TV.i was educated by my ex-classmate that18th would be mooncake festival.Being young and active, i's sure you will try to meet up with old friends.Why not try to shift it on 17th?now, it is up to hannah to tell the in-charge once, participation is confirmed.Of course, the feasibility of this programme is impt.It will have to be small scale.It's feasibility is also dependent onthe no of people coming.

1)Ah hui, not tao hui(beancurd in hokkien) sugg to have guess lattern riddle.Hmm... what's your take on that...my comment was, "too complicated" but still possible if we can modify it to a small grp or change the traditional way of doing it.well, a modern girl like me will have to read up.
2)Hannah thinking of mooncakes and later remebered that they are diabetic. Hannah just cant resist appreciating the beauty of food.Say,Abigail sugg tea instead.
3)Abigail has finally hop on to the same freq as artistic talent, Hannah. thinking of making latterns out of red packets or coloured paper...you know the cut strips one. got the idea from ..i cant remember.hmmm, scissors is one thing.well we can get from home.will clean it for you after that.their strength is one thing..maybe wil borrow some special scissors from our labs.then, we can bring some of them to stroll in the park behind.(need just a little on the spot decoration, simple one)

oh yes, there are some malay speaking old folks and they can be quite lonely, i cant act "understanding" their language very well.(like what i did)

aniwae, finally got e problem settled with crab today. so yah... i am officially a writer. previously, i was only a reader u see.

rite now, i just started at smu, and i can say that its very different from nj or even sec school. officially, i am in school for like 3 hrs only (i was very suay, got a 5-day week). but, i found out that i actually have to stay back much much longer. for xtra readings and countless project meetings. :( other smu pple have anything to say about it???

hello everyone!

haven't left a note here in quite a while. though i still read it occasionally.
it's really nice hearing all the celebrations u guys have there...National day, teachers day, mid autumn festival. well, it's pretty different here. coz national day for example, though there are heaps of singaporeans in melbourne, it's jsut different. like you don't get constantly reminded that it's national day coz people don't put up the flags on the balcony and stuff. in fact i only remembered it was national day like halfway through the 9th! haha yeah...and moon cake festival here is kinda depressing. coz mooncakes are SUPER EXPENSIVE! like one mooncake is $10 aussie..which is abt 13 sing dollars i think! yeah. and to buy them we have to go to the suburbs to the chinese grocers to get it. i told my mummy and she said she'll send some over for me! so yay! haha. anyway, happy teacher's day mr lim!

well, i'm already in the middle of my semester. which is really fast. coz in two and a half months time i'll be back home!!! i'm quite settled here already! so yeah...life is good. definitely not as stressful as in singapore. i've got mid semester exams the next two weeks. but it's nothing like Singapore! it's just like 20 mcqs and all. yup and following that i've got two weeks of holidays! looking forward to all that!

foodwise, i'm eating ALOT here! definitely put on weight already. there's jsut so much variety ehre. and do my own grocery shopping that i buy whatever junk i wanna eat! i do miss asian snacks though. cooked chicken rice that day and i must say it was pretty good! the wonders of the bottled chicken rie paste! haha.

everyone has started uni already yeah?have fun u guys!

been reading about Abi and Melissa's exam adventures. Can you imagine just last year at this time you were all going for your prelims? How fast time flies ! (Oh, how cliche, this phrase..... time has no wings!)

Anyway, still the usual drill for me, setting end of year tests for my IP students, planning for the new year (new school year, not new year celebrations), etc. Consistently unfinished work, but then, when can work ever be finished?

So those who have just started school, so far so good? By the way, where is Kenny going? Seems to be choosing a thousand and one things previously but then no conclusion.....

Next week will be very short with the Teachers Day celebrations and holiday..... then comes the sept break. Can't wait.... :)

Happy National Day!

Watched the performance..hmm....padang is dull compared to the one at the stadium. Probably due to the size.My brother performed as a tiger in Act 1 so i actually got the tickets for the preview. 40 yrs, and a Singapore we see today. Great acheivement!!! Wonder what will happen the next 10 yrs.

anyway, i just confirmed that one of my neighbours is a Superstar finalist. My god! Meeting him in the lift quite a few times and our families are relatively acquainted and I didnt know that he is one of the finalist!?!?! Me a gundo! When i went back for my sec school's aniversary, i didnt notice another superstar revival contestant.Definitely out already.

Now that most of you have started sch....haha...i have just completed two tests this week...Hmm...anatomy practical...the one see dead bodies and identify...erm...challenging...We were given 1.5 min for each qns...i really admire the medical students for their memory...
then i got the Singapore Healthcare system test..something like the Social study...but in the healthcare sys form...quite tricky though...tmr can give feedback to scrap this module.
Next monday got another case study test..but we are given the case first to prepare...(occupational therapy)
my next exam will be the main papers, starting from 19 Aug and end on 26 Aug....you ppl stilll in honeymoon period...but bet you ppl will be busy though...I saw some accounting freshmen (ex Njcians)in the Jurong east library, already mugging...as hard as i mug for my tests.HAHA..the "spirit" never dies....even though "spirits" are supposed to be the residual of the dead...ok...maybe you dont understand.
I watched a gruesome experiment conducted on dogs in 1952...if you are taking physiology or psychology, you may learn about it...my god...will try to describe to you when i am free.Well,
if you are Man's best friend, you will also have to sacrifice for the "greater good of Mankind" as you benefit from this title...dog lovers, you will be disgusted.

Summary for the benefit of those not in anatomy class:
Dr ravi was sharing a story about our brave senior who is leading hislife to his fullest despite knowing that he may have some kidneyfailure due to genes...our cute chelsea sugg that he should go line up for one now and prepare for that day to arrive so that he doesnt have to wait for too long a time.
To think about it...(not talking about the case above at all)Will it help lift up the burden of our already small singapore? or will it just create another avennue for ppl to "bid" for somehting so precious. for this organ transplant...i have no comments till i havereally studied the system(that is if i have the time, which i dont)
But, we have to admit, waiting time for doc (other than those inclinics) are really long..be it if you are going to see one who ishandsome, has height and hair...or someone hairless..It is often either the rich or the well connected gets it first...butwho is to say that these ppl are commiting some serious socialcrimes...is that a crime? NO!
Saw one maid, whose finger has been "grabbed" by a crab(not me)...shehas to sit for hrs at the A&E till her employer started to take action.Appendixitis(how to spell), one has to wait for like the next day ifyou happen to find the pain unbearable only at night.I think, if i amever caught in such a situation, i may consider stabbing myself andlose more blood to get their IMMEDIATE attention...haha....(me haventexperienced such things...so better not say too early...i am a luckygirl for 19 yrs..weird..)
then again, no one can judge...we are still considered quite fast already...so if you are in pain, just be thankful that you are in singapore.perhaps our transport system is relatively efficient that wetend to want evrything to go faster.One thing for sure is that, when you are running late and want yourtransport to travel faster, it wont.the same applies here.Hmm.... i dont know what is my point..but you keep me thinking...

hello people! i'm in melbourne already! abi, thanks for all your love! i'm safe and sound and didn't encounter any terrorist. lucky me! the worst it got was a crying baby on board the plane! well, not like i wasn't one myself. i cried alot on the plane. imagine, sitting on your own, thinking bout leaving a place you're so comforatble in, leaving behind all your friends and family. but things have been good here! it's always nice to make new friends! it's cold though!

have any of you been back to college recently? i went back with hilda last week, the pigeon holes in the canteen are gone. the canteen's painted orange. that's quite nice. but the rest of the school is like green. tht's yucky. apparantly, mrs cheng chose the colours. now we know why. haha. go back and take a look. wanted to visit mr james lim before i left. but he was in china.

Can someone tell me the story of Yili and Kenny? Are they or are they not an actual item? Seems like the Fann-Christopher thing.... but even that has been revealed already, how about our very own Y and K?

One week of school has started. Total madness. Not involved in Common Test, normal lessons for IP students.

Oh, one of my students asked me that day in class, " Mr Lim, have you ever thought of becoming a philosopher?". I was stumped. I was telling them a story of how ancient people were so smart to use binomial series to estimate things like square root of 11, etc. that led to the question. what i am confused about is, what has the question got to do with what i just told them? So have i ever thought of becoming a philosopher? No, but i have contemplated studying Philosophy of Maths in uni. (Don't puke, it is potentially a cool course ok?) :)

Will be going to china in a week's time. official trip. tired!

people, must go for camps k? just returned from one n must say it really helps prepare us for uni life... not just the academics which is unavoidable but also the friends to talk crap with. hmmm.. the ice-breaking would be a little hard but really, it'd be great to at least know a few pple b4 plunging into uni life itself. nothing like a camp bonds pple together. OAC pple should noe best ;) haha... no prefernces here but couldn't help cheering for OAC... yeah!

OK, those booking the driving test in Bukit Batok Area.Dont book the 825 slot.Dont get the teckwhye lane.I have a U-turn that leads to a busy road in the morning, two steep slopes.One of the slope requires a right turn.Two big right turns that brings you to busy road.2 twindling roads that have lorries doing illegal parking.Yes! the teckwhye market place.i think it is Route 8. But i think that is the most exciting road! So fun!I think you can try the afternoon slot.

Hello, just took my driving practical test. I failed by 6 points. Got too many lorries parking along the roads and everyone rushing for work before nine. It is ok. Being young and inexperience, it is natural to under-perform.
Circuit was perfect.My tester was ten min late.so my test lasted for only fifteen min.(haha…didn’t allow me to make my Money’s worth) Rushing thru all the courses and instructing me to move without allowing me to see the traffic situation.

What’s worse is that at the end he said “So, what do you think?” (Sarcastic)
Abigail: “Fail…Haha”
Tester: “ You are supposed to be sad”
Abigail: “Why should I? I am Young and have set aside money as an investment and I AM NOT TURNING BACK!”
Tester: “ Do you realize that no girls passed this morning?”
Abigail: “For all you know that these men are taking it for the second time.”
Tester: “ BUT why you still so HAPPY”
Abigail: “ I DON’T HAVE any terminal diseases, as long as I am still healthy, I can always take it again.”
Tester: “ Ok lah…anyway, you are inexperience and the route you took was a busy one”

Hey, i think i am born to be a CLOWN! (that is what i felt and what my friends said)
Will show you the pict when i get my hands onto one.

Well, it is tiring to entertain the intellectually disabled with lots of animation and stuff.taught them how to use the hammer to hit my butt. Yup, danced with a girl anddid some twist.To all the women, i did the magical flower performance and said that they are beautiful.To the Men, i hit their biceps and said that they are strong.To the children, i rubbed my self made red-nose and said,"you are cute"

My first make-up..a CLOWN. Wore purple pants with lots of design, yellow shirt,NJ tie,a clown vest, party hat, nose.blah blah.some of my friends helped out in stalls, pretending to be lost baby geese and of course i have another fellow clown!

Saw Mr Gerald Yee...SAD/he recognised me by my voice.He was mending a stall, which seemed to me like BIG CUSTOMISED SCRABBLE tiles on the floor. HAHA!

hello!! i've got something interesting that i think everyone would like to know. except that i might be killed by kenny. and he'll think i'm such a big mouth but i can't help it but write it here. i went OCS social night yesterday with a friend.. and i saw kenny there! same wing.. sierra wing. and for social night, all the guys have to bring a date. so i was wondering who kenny brought. whether it would be one of our classmates. at the end of the night when i saw him again, i asked who he brought, half expecting him to say yili.. but he didn't. he brought his cousin. then i asked him y didn't he bring yili.. he said..'huh? shy la...'.HAHAHAHAHA...that cracked me up quite a bit. so you see..if he was a litle braver, i might have seen yili there. haha...ok..sorry kenny please don't kill me! but i must say he looked good! lost quite a bit of weight..looking smart and all..my friend that i went with said kenny's really cute..like a small boy. haha...

anyway, i don't know if many of you know yet, but i'll be going to melbourne university to study in july. leaving on the 15th. ill be doing commerce, something lke business. and just to add on, i have reasons for going there...though i have so many friends here and i so comforotable with life here, i think i need to learn to be more independant and to experience life on my own for a bit. in other words, i wouldn't mind some freedom from my parents too... i think it'll be a very different experience. if didn't go there, i would have gone to smu! it took me quite a while to decide on that. yup..so now i'm kind aexcited, yet scared too...

Hello everyone...I am so happy that my holidays are here and now taking a short break.Of course when school reopens, i will have a hell time with projects and tests as the semester will be ending.Yup, while you pple still enjoying your orientation.Hey, my class made a video specially for those who left our course due to family pressure.It is a nice one i must say and quite funny.
We had a mask fitting session, to prepare ourselves and all that.Quite fun.Oh yes, the music video we made was entitled "Always look on the bright side of life" You can see all my cheeky classmates.maybe i can upload on our yahoo...but i dont know how....Are you ppl missing sch life?
Just had biomechanics test.Sure can get a D(50-59%) and above.Definitely not an A(80%). So most likely between B&C (60-79%).Sociology test sure can get A if i interpret correctly.High distinction?maybe not.Hey, but the worse tests are not here yet.
This coing Sat, my class have an outing and that is going to help out in a fun fair for MINDS(movement for the intellectually disabled) at tampines ITE. I will be one of the two clowns.The rest will be mother goose and baby geese.Last Sat just helped out at Yio Chu Kang grassroots in the foster parent's talk.(under MCYS and MCYC,the usual organisation i helped out during my interact club yrs)
Dont laugh! i signed up for lifeguard as a cca but still considering and floorball leisure.However, i dont think can make it as my time table is different from the other courses.Floorball, can never forget how we played that game in NJ.
Not to forget, when you ppl go Uni, you will meet your old friends.Just like me! i met my sec and pri sch friends.I finally found my friend who walks home with me everyday.
I caught a cockroach during psychology lecture.

Abi here again Well well, my classmates are a little too enthu ppl.hey tell you a news..i am the class rep.anyway, i will stick to this nad not join any stupid exco stuff.hey, i created jobs for them and they are really enthu in the yahoo grps...i have environment officer, funtions committee that includes the head of MUsic and performance, food &berverage, art and design sports and recreation.Emergency SMS relay blah blah blah.Yup, other than playing, we do hang out in library.not that i want to say, really, tertiary is really throw you in and you swim yourself.however, you wont feel lonely as long as you have friends willing to help themselves and at the same time help others. The school of health sciences have lecturers that are friendly and appraochable.This is the real world.to me, a nice person is defined as a person who helps himself and knows that he can do something for others at the same time.NO man does not have a motive when he lends a helping hand.things are fine.hmm...next time, i will share with you about how letters from instituitions can make you feel good. So file your letters...Take care.

cant believe it's already a week since school started.. abigail is chairperson for her class.. so suitable right.. haha.. though we are in different classes, it actually makes no difference as we are all OTs in the end.. different classes only means different time table and different mentors.. haha.. get to go to school on fridays at 11am.. so cool rite.. haha.. but thursdays are a real killer... lessons are from 8am to 5pm... only a lunch break in between.. but life is not bad there... haha... textbooks can really cost a hole to the pockets.. haha.. anyway for my class most of us are of the same age except for about 5 i think.. and there is only 1 guy in my class..there is this girl is a touch rugby player also..haha..wonder if fran knows her anot..hmm... well.. kinda felt sick on the third day of school.. but am still alive to attend lessons.. haha.. guess that's all for now.. really hope more people can leave messages... hehe... if not our classblog not exciting!!

Hello, I have deleted my blog...wanting to start anew.Trying to behave like a professional.In NYP School of Health Sciences( SHS ),They stress the impt of image because in the future others will be trusting me with their lives.Hee...Our sch hours are long...the tertiary edu is very diff...now no more teachers like MR LIME to spoon feed us with sour, acidic Math juice.Melie and i diff class.We are fine so far.Right MElissa?
We will be learning:
Anatomy(lots of memory but get to touch dead bodies), biomechanics(so much more fun than phy because you can see it happening), Physiology(basically bio and going to borrow A-level bio notes to read.but thank goodness. it is just the human body part),Malay,Sociology(lecturer said must be shamelessly KPO), Psychology, the Occupational therapy practice itself.Cant wait for the gardening and cooking too...
My classmates a little hyper.I dont know why.They are so much bigger in size compared to our class.then in my class, there are ppl from diff background and age.one of them is 25 and is married.Almost half the girls(other than the 2 boys) are older than me.
ok...enough of my sch life...I think must wear skirts on short days like wed.Otherwise i have to iron pants like siao.I dont care loh, i will just wear my shirts again and again.That's why i buy long lasting ones that dont expand when washed repeatedly.

harlow ppl... went hiking wif peishan, cheemin n yili todae.. so fun.. haha.. probably i will only think so.. it was a long long walk into mac ritchie before we finally reach the suspension bridge...haha before 4.45pm(the rangers close the bridge at this time).. the view there is so cool.. n the wind is strong..if the wind is strong, the bridge actually shakes.. haha.. yili crap all the way there n back, when we haf dinner.. she didnt stop once.. haha...so typical of her a source of entertainment to all of us...haha.. those who intend to go 4 the hike shold be prepared to walk 11 km.. dat's wat the nparks says in their website.. bring lotsa water n if u r afraid that u might get hungry bring food.. haha... oh yah.. wear shoes cox it's supposed to be more comfortable..

think there'll be another class dinner or gathering of some sort soon.. probably in the weekend to come or the following one.. so take note.. haha

Hi guys and gals,

Been receiving emails and SMSes galore. Some people are apparently confused over how to go about choosing what to study in NUS and NTU. Basically, you choose the faculty, not the subject major. Eg: if you wish to study either Mech Eng or Elect. Eng in NUS, but do not really know which yet, don't panic. You are only required to put down Engineering as your choice. When you get admitted into Enginnering Faculty, then you will be asked to choose your speciality....

Exception: Chem Eng is a fac of its own. Also, chem eng is much harder to get it than engin, so make your choice wisely.

If you intend to study Science/ Math or Humanities based subjects, then you simply need to choose Faculty of Science and Faculty of Arts and Social Science (for NUS) respectively. Get into the fac first, then choose the subjects. So if you can't decide if you want to do Chem or Applied Chem at this point, don't worry. Essentially you just need to make sure you get into Fac of Science.

You should visit the online websites of the depts and facs for more info. I don't know if they still sell the pospectus with the details of courses now, but it would be good to get those. Last time when I applied, I just pay $15, get about 10 books detailing all the courses for each faculty and make my choice....

Don't miss the Application Deadlines

People, just a reminder not to miss the deadlines for uni application. You don't want to regret it when you miss them. Take some time to find out more, sit down and think, discuss, then make that application promptly.

For those with the 4As (that means you kenny), S paper (that means you tess) and 3As, take the chance to apply for scholarship/ sponsorship/bursary that are around. Never hurts to be thick skinned and kiasu for this time. Deadlines are even tighter, typically one week or two weeks from now so act fast!

Anyway, people, if you are totally lost about what you want to study, here are some suggestions. Think about what you do not want to study or do later on in your life. That would help eliminate some things. Or you can decide which university you prefer to go, then shortlist some courses you like. After that, see if the other universities also offer something similar, so you can have back up plans. Then MAKE THAT APPLICATION. Don't procrastinate too much or leave things to the last day. These days with online applications, you never know when the servers will just break down.

Some of you have indicated an interest to do Maths/ Stats based degrees and have already approached me to ask. If you need further help, send me an email direct, then sms me so I can read the email and reply promptly to you. Of course, if you have questions on other courses, please feel free to email as well. I believe I know enough people to answer some questions.

Don't fret too much over your results liao ok? It's time to sit down and plan your future. Whatever you may say about your future, I have just one statement in reply: It is much brighter than you think. :D

Hello one and all, yes it's me on the blog. Pai seh, have been absolutely swamped in the past month, have not even accessed my mr_lim account for a while. But it is assessment week for the ip kids so i logged on in case some of them want to ask me questions. Anyway, been doing consultation since last Thursday (ooh, consultation, does that word ring a bell????). Yes, me with my trademark box and the brown A4 paper, sitting at the stone tables, trying to tell students how to show a composite function gf exist... (ok i know a lot of you cringing now but hey it is my rice bowl....).Don't know why, find myself usually happy during these sessions, as I get to do what I enjoy most: share knowledge. This year there are way too many meetings and various other things which are somehow overtaking my primary job. So it's always nice when i get to talk about functions and equations, blah blah blah. So the results are coming out soon, very exciting right? Abi says I am getting too excited; well, I admit to it! After all you are my first graduating batch and it was not too long ago that I received my own results (less than 10 years...). Not that I have very good memories of my results, plus I was all green on results day because I had just come from field camp. Camouflage cream still on my ears when I went to school..... Anyway, it is the past, let's look to the future. See you guys and gals really soon!

i hate kids!!!! anythin ranging from little devils to the huge big fat ones...i hate them....let me tell u'll...today was first day relief teachin at my pri sch...i was happy...back to old sch..saw old teachers who recognised me! haha...sob...they all sed i havent grown..lol..but yah it was nice...then! i was teachin p3 class...there was this psycho looonatic! boy who was sooper violent...attitude prob...yelled at him wont listen...so i ignored him carried on wif class...and he decided to get violent..punched and kicked this girl in her stomach and got into a fight with the class monitor who tried to stop him....i was literally shaken up all over...went to stop the fight..take control..he nearly hit me! the nerve!!! i yelled!!!...wow...think my voice's gone..but anyways i've neva lost my temper liddat...said if he dare hit me he die...sigh...chaotic day...u get the pic...called the discipline master who came wif huge cane...nearly called police cause the boy who got hit was cryin real bad...i was on the verge oof bawlin...haha madness...so much for first day rite...i feel like ive juz braved battleground...haha salute to all teachers! i realli wonder how ull handle kids...hehe sighz...

Now, i have become rather prejudiced when distributing flyers but, my guilt stops me from getting worse.Maybe I didnt recite the Pledge for a long time, which resulted a change of attitude.It is not literally just the pledge,it is the environment.

Hi Everyone,

This is by far, the most successful class dinner with 16 ppl attending...just a simple dinner,walking,causing obstruction,phototaking...It is ok that some of you have work and cant be with us...some are also having dinner with family...Just keep updated with events ok?
By the way, according to our class full -time photographers (pei shan and jianxiang), they will be posting at sony image station.(I forgot my password..well i will open my 4th account then). Free lance photographers like hasan and cheemin....Pls post the photos...try..thanks. Yemin..the new-comer photographer er..... well, we have lots of trigger-happy ppl.

8) Yemin as prop for "Tess and Peishan talk show" and showing us how to look like a lady.(Look Like ms Florence Yap right...let's call her flourescent chua... she is quite a bright girl...Haha
9) Bavi and her pillow...The meeting will be less dense without you...and how is the pillow for your friend?working on the personal touch by hugging it?

Yeah man,
i managed to take advantage from this sickening cough of mine. hah, cooping myself in my house may b sian, but anywhere is better than tekong... this week is effectively 1 week of my BMT, though i didnt go for any training :P, so to b precise i'm actually going thru 8 wks of BMT
Happy week for me, but this sounds like cheap thrill for wb, who is officially Out Of Training due to leg injury, excused from everything and b a diligent clerk. if he were to ever recover from his injury, he would hav to recourse his BMT

1)Should Sir james be given this website...(he doesnt mind the contents, but he respects the fact that we may not want him to see anything.

sigh.. nothing really interesting of late... but ya, if anyone's gg to chinatown to jalan jalan, must see the lights(quite nice designs this yr) & all the little stores selling all sorts of interesting & often wierd stuff. loved those small little shops. quite entertaining though a little too packed with pple.

hmm.. vietnam was okay.. got to crawl in tunnels they built during war.. sat on sampan.. and arh.. lunch n dinner were all 9 course de! feel like a pig man.. eat so much..
their streets r totally filled with motorbikes.. nv see so many bikes b4.. haha.. but it's damn irritating.. always horning for nothing.. n very difficult to cross the roads..

hmm.. guess tess, abi n yili still doing OT now? haha..
